In order to commemorate the second anniversary of the Balakot airstrikes, Indian Air Force Chief RKS Bhadauria flew an upgraded Mirage-2000 fighter aircraft during a multi-aircraft sortie on Saturday.
Air Chief Marshal Bhadauria took the multi-aircraft sortie with the units to commemorate the second anniversary of the Balakot Operations along with the Squadron pilots who had carried out the actual operations on 26 February 2019.
“CAS visited the Squadrons, flew in a combined formation of upgraded Mirage-2000 and Su-30MKI ac and interacted with the Squadron personnel,” the IAF said in a post on social media platform Twitter.
The Air Force also carried out a long-range precision strike against a practice target to commemorate the Balakot operations. The strike was also carried out by the members of the same Squadron that carried out the actual operations.
