‘Only CM to raise her voice against CAA, NRC’
Kolkata: In a major jolt to Asaduddin Owaisi, party leader Anwar Pasha joined Trinamool Congress today. He further claimed that AIMIM polarized Bihar polls to help BJP come to power.
This is very dangerous and cannot be allowed in Bengal, said Pasha adding that if Bihar model is implemented in Bengal, it will be covered in blood as 30 per cent minorities live in Bengal due to which it is essential to stop these forces.
“There have been developments in Bihar and these forces are trying to enter Bengal. For years now, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christians have been living here in peace but there is an attempt to create a divide and use votes to make inroads here,” he said.
‘Mamata only CM to raise voice against CAA, NRC’
Heaping praises on Mamata Banerjee Pasha saying she was the only CM to raise voice against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and NRC.
Pasha said people and political parties accuse her appeasement politics but this is not true because if she gives money to the imams then she also gives it to the priests.
If she covers her head and says amen then she also goes to her temple to offer prayers. I have not seen such a secular leader in my life, he added.
In an appeal to West Bengal Muslims, he said that all of them should give strength to Mamata Banerjee to fight the saffron party in the state.
Do not come to Bengal: Anwar Pasha to Owaisi
Pasha also issued a message to Owaisi saying, “do not come to Bengal, Bengal does not need you. But if you still want to come, we will fight you.”
Earlier, Owaisi had proposed a pre-poll pact in West Bengal to Mamata saying AIMIM will help the ruling party defeat the BJP in the polls.
AIMIM had shocked political pundits by winning five seats in Bihar’s Seemanchal region in the recently-concluded Bihar elections.
