Mamata Banerjee targets Amit Shah at Bankura event, says BJP leader’s lunch with tribal family a photo-op


During her visit to Bankura district, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee alleged that the Union Home Minister Amit Shah lunch at the house of a tribal BJP worker was only for the cameras.
As the battle for Bengal heats up, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has hit out at Union Minister Amit Shah, calling the senior BJP leader’s lunch at the house of a tribal party worker in Bankura district house a photo-op.
During her visit to Khatra in Bankura, Mamata Banerjee attacked Amit Shah over his visit to the area.
The Bengal CM alleged that Amit Shah did not eat the food prepared by the Tribal family and that meals were brought from outside. Mamata Banerjee said Amit Shah’s tour of Bankura was only a public show.
Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee reached the district on Sunday, days after Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s tour during which he had lunch at the house of a tribal family.
At a programme in Bankura, Mamata Banerjee claimed that the TMC will return to power in Bengal. “Our government will remain in Bengal and we will further increase the period of free ration,” the CM said.
“We have taken good care of our people, have announced free ration till June. False allegations will not stand for long.”
Targeting the BJP, Mamata Banerjee said, “Amit Shah is giving false assurances. People have understood this.”
Mamata Banerjee also reportedly asked people to the money of BJP but not vote for them.
