Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has increased the fine for not wearing masks in public places from Rs 500 to Rs 2000.
He also said that Chhath Puja celebrations in public places like ponds, lakes and rivers will remain prohibited in Delhi. He urged people to celebrate the festival at home this year.
CM Kejriwal who held an all-party meet to review Covid situation in Delhi earlier today, also added that this is not the time for politics.
“I told all parties in the meet that it’s a difficult time for the people of Delhi when COVID cases are rising. It’s not the time for politics, there is an entire lifetime for it. We should set aside politics & allegations for a few days. This is the time to serve people. All the parties agreed that this is the time for all of us become one and serve the people of Delhi,” he said.
