A video going viral on social media shows NCP workers pouncing on, pushing each other, and scooping out massive pieces of an 81 kg cake at an event that was organised by NCP leader Dhananjay Munde on the occasion of party chief Sharad Pawar’s 80th birthday.
Who doesn’t like a good piece of cake, but, have you ever seen a mob pouncing on and scooping out massive pieces from an 81 kg cake?
Maharashtra cabinet minister Dhananjay Munde had on Saturday organised an event on the occasion of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar’s 80th birthday.
While the event was attended by several party colleagues and was even graced by actor Govinda, the highlight of the entire event was the birthday cake for Sharad Pawar that weighed a whopping 81 kg.
Soon after the cake was cut and the party leaders left, several workers rushed to the stage to get their share of the cake.
A video doing the rounds on social media shows NCP workers, without masks, going berserk over the cake, ditching social distancing norms and scooping out massive pieces of the cake using hands.
People were also seen tossing chairs at each other during the event.
The madness over the cake was such that the NCP workers were falling over, pushing and punching each other to get their hands on the cake. Some of them were even pushed off the stage.
Four-time Maharashtra chief minister Sharad Pawar turned 80 on Saturday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi were among others who greeted Pawar on his birthday.
