We as medical practitioners can’t ignore politics.

In an interview with Disha Shakti News Dr. Sourav Basu said,
“Our patients depend on us for their health care – we must help them to get it, whether that comes in the form of pill or policy.”
Dr. Basu became physician to help people. When he started as medical practitioner, his family members, friends and colleagues knowing his passion for social and political lineage supported him regarding his beliefs.
Resident of Behala (West) Constituency, he is a doctor having passion for martial art; West Bengal Trinomool Congress Suprimo Mamata Banerjee inspired Dr. Sourav Basu to do something for the common people. He said that voters of West Bengal are very matured and they would only support the party who have worked for the all round development of the state.
Dr. Sourav Basu has always been engaged politically and interested in the political process and he believed that BJP cannot become part of Bengal politics as such and extended his support for Sri. Partha Chatterjee, Trinomool Congress Candidate for Behala (West).
